The exhibition Earth-Works consisted of 56 works and ran
in the Courthouse Arts Centre from October 19th to
November 19th, 2004.

"Earth Works" was my first one man show in Ireland.
The exhibition was held in the spacious Courthouse Arts
Centre in the village of Tinahely. The opening on October 19th
2004 probably resembled a large family gathering more than
anything else. Among the guests were many friends and
relations who had come from far and wide.

The 56 paintings sent over from Germany in a wooden case
now hung on the walls of this quiet, "out of the way" Arts
Centre in Tinahely. I liked the way they worked in this setting,
blending in nicely with the surrounding countryside.
The paintings had in a sense "arrived back" to their origins.

Turf is used as the main working medium, not only because
of its expressiveness but also as a catalyst to bind and weave
these inner and outer worlds together.
